Still, I enjoyed this day in Norwich, despite its limitations.Harry Moorenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2425346921966365551.post-50461190400690733172017-08-17T15:03:52.700+01:002017-08-17T15:03:52.700+01:00I rarely comment but give that man a Knighthood fo...I rarely comment but give that man a Knighthood for his 'services' to charity! If this is correct I think a merger of the two and having all those two groups vehicles on one site would be a great asset for Carlton Colville and ECOC fans.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2425346921966365551.post-39409332198853920102017-08-15T22:34:09.649+01:002017-08-15T22:34:09.649+01:00Huh! lol Casting more aspersions I see lol I'l...Huh! lol Casting more aspersions I see lol I'll have you know my sense of direction is second to none.....none being usually a tad off course. "I understand on social media many enthusiasts have suggested how things could have been better, but in all honesty today wasn't for enthusiasts but for non enthusiasts, young and old, particularly young to enjoy riding on old buses, getting a pic of them in the cab of a bus, going through a bus wash etc. I only saw smiles and happy faces so job done!"

I thanked all who brought their buses, but I'm not going to post pics of the same buses at every event. It's good the EATM & EATC sent vehicles but I'm sure it was for EACG and not for publicity which is to be commended.

As for the breakdown it happens to the best, and I'm happy to correct the info I received that it was early on - I only saw it once so must have been in the wrong place at the wrong time to see her on the other runs.
Steve Whttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06852377706742868978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2425346921966365551.post-42308831904639465882017-08-14T13:57:07.250+01:002017-08-14T13:57:07.250+01:00I rarely comment Steve, however I think you could ...I rarely comment Steve, however I think you could have mentioned the East Anglia Transport Museum and Eastern Transport Collection in your report, both who sent buses at their own considerable expense in aid of the EACH charity. I realise everyone has their own views on what makes a success, but First wished this to be a family day rather than for enthusiasts.I am quite happy for you to mention it was my bus PBJ2F that had an issue requiring attention, but it was on the last run of the day...not early on...and we had done a few runs in and out of the City fully loaded already. The fault was quickly rectified but it could not have been foreseen and is a tribulation of using a 50 year old bus, these things happen as in today's operations. It should not be overlooked that private owners, three in our group, pay for all the running costs of their buses, far more than just diesel, and in this case gave the entire day to raise money for the EACH Charity. The fact we saw nothing but happy faces all day makes it all worthwhile. Not a moan Steve, just my view, and hopefully the Event will be even better should it be held again.Sydhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09830147274753540357noreply@blogger.com
