47805 at Lowestoft |
I'll never tire of this sight - 47805 with the 1057 to Norwich. 156422 in background replacing the usual 170 on the 1107 to Ipswich |
Steaming away! 47805 puts on a show as she leaves Lowestoft |
47818 "Emily" brings up the rear - the semaphore signals just add to it! |
Oooo nicely done am jealous lol was in asda on Sunday kept looking but didn't see anything :-( got the phrase they're only trains off herself lol. I did see on Twitter that 47805 was on the way and am concerned we keep breaking them so am looking forward the 37
ReplyDeleteAre you sure you're not my dad? You're wife sounds like my Mum so much :))
ReplyDeleteLol not your dad honest am only errrrrr...over 25 on a serious ?note just read a tweet no short set as only 1 47 available see the tracks of dooooom strike again who needs mystic meg lol
ReplyDeleteMuch as I love the 47's they do seem a little unreliable these days - is it all the starting and stopping? Maybe they should be kept on the Lowestoft "fasts" so they can just trundle along without all the stopping.
ReplyDeleteSo how come all those years of loco services in this area did we not hear of this many failures? Mind you if you look at all the newer metal that is stored why keep older going on a shoestring or would not a class 60 be just the same because they were designed as you say for long haul
ReplyDeleteJust read on Railuk forums that a 37 is at Crown Point but no DBSO yet so it may be the summer timetable change it will all happen Will definitely be out looking as soon as we know !
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know the two mark II's and DBSO are at Crown Point and the 37's are just a formality, but staff training is holding everything up. I don't really care - I'm just enjoying our little part of the world being so unique. The 47's were back out this afternoon with the same locos as yesterday so can't have been anything major.
