Teatime Tit-Bit - Driver Training 37

At the moment preparations are being made to replace the Class 47 locos on the Short Set with Class 37's. As a result 37 419 has been seen on driver training duties between Norwich and Yarmouth/Lowestoft. Harry Stanley, from East Anglia Rail Scene was standing on the right bridge at the right time to capture the beast manouvering just outside Norwich Station. Many thanks for the pic, Harry.

  1. Good lad that Harry! Personally am looking forward to them taking over but it might signal the demise of the 47's on scheduled passenger traction on the network other than charter work, they have been a mainstay for over 50 years now it will be sad if the last you see of some of them is the picture in the scrap yard

  3. My driving instructor taught me exactly where and when to make a turn and also how many rotations you should turn. My classes from Port Macquarie Driving School were over in about 2 months.
