Tight Turns & Trams Part Two

Yesterday I posted Part One of the photos of the almost impossibly tight tram network in old Lisbon, sent in to me by Portugal's greatest export - Paulo van Krieken (see here if you missed it). Here is part two which contains two very impressively decorated trams.

The gradients those trams go up and down is incredible
God that looks steep!
In comparison that's a motorway!
Now these next two I want you to imagine Pavarotti blasting out Funiculi Funicula, although I admit neither of them are on funicla railways, they just look as though they should be! Love the decorations.

Not sure how I'd describe that tram but on reflection....
I just love that tram and have to see it for myself.
Once again many thanks to Paulo. I really like showing off other parts of the world,so if any of my international readers want to send in material for publication please, please do. There is far more to public transport than East Anglia after all.

This is the "Elevador da Bica", sadly it's gone back to a somewhat tatty and graffittied Carris yellow. Still worth travelling on - I went on it last month (first time since 1983)!
