A Tie At The Top

Well that was a good poll, and predictably tight. First Corporate and Norfolk Green came out on top, with Anglin one vote behind, and Ipswich buses new livery and rather surprisingly Excel X1 another vote behind Anglian. I'm quite pleased Norfolk Green shared top spot as I really like their new livery - anything that makes Optare Tempos look smart has got to have something going for it!

No poll this week as I want nominations for favourite route, so send your nomination to me either in the comments (anonymously if you want) or by email and I'll include them all in a poll next week. Anyway here are this weeks winners.

First Corporate livery as sported by 33423 came joint first with..................

  1. Favourite route nomination is Simonds 114: Diss to Ipswich. Fantastic rural route winding through some beautiful countryside and pretty villages

  2. Duly noted, Zak and a pleasant surprise. Confess I have yet to travel on it owing to those awful washing machines on wheels that Simonds operate on them!!

    1. Yes, I must agree it would be much more pleasurable if they didn't use their awful Primos! I've only been on it twice, takes too long so now I use the train unless I'm skint. Friendly drivers who seem to know the locals too! The 2 from Stratton to Diss is quite rural aswell, very tight lanes with hay bails stacked up on the verges at one point

    1. To be honest, I've only ever used the X1, 1A, X2, 28, 29S, 37, 51 and 603 and out of those the 51 was my favourite.
